Five County Ham Radio Enthusiasts Gets ARRL Recognition For VE Testing During Covid-19 Pandemic

The Five County Ham Radio Enthusiasts group is comprised of JARS, RARS, SWARC and other club members. They offer free VE Testing at least 1 Saturday a month if not more. Mark Gibson “N4MQU” is the Lead VE for the FCHRE VE Team, a Laurel VEC Team.

The North Carolina Section of the ARRL awarded The Five County Ham Radio Enthusiasts the “SUGAR” Supporting Upgrading Growing Amateur Radio Award for their Superior efforts involved in organizing Volunteer Examiner Sessions During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Awarded by Marv Hoffman, WA4NC on May 1st, 2021.
