Well as you all know, N4AED and KO4MSN are heavy in to POTA. They decided to go out Monday evening to activate Flower Hill Nature Preserve K-3854. It started out slow as the contacts were not as steady as they wanted. They were finally spotted on the pota.app website and things went much better. Prior to 00:00 UTC they made 45 contacts in the USA and Canada. After 00:01 UTC they made 106 contacts for what POTA calls LATE SHIFT. They went QRT at 02:30 UTC with a pile up still pending. But the laptop battery they were using all but died, and they were forced to pack up and leave.

If you would like to join a POTA activation or learn more. Please reach out to N4AED – Richard, KE4NKY – Domingo, or Randall – KO4MSN. I am sure they would love to show you what POTA is all about. Even if you do not Activate a PARK, you can always HUNT parks from Home / Mobile. This is a great activity to get people outdoors and in parks that may or may not get alot of people in them.
