About JARS

Every year the JARS group sponsors a hamfest. JARSFEST is held on the third Sunday in November in Benson, NC. Most meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month currently at Cleveland Draft House at HWY 70 & Shotwell Rd in Clayton.

The JARS members have supported the Amateur Radio Emergency Services by volunteering their services in almost every disaster that has hit the State of North Carolina since 1975. Feel free to review our constitution and bylaws.

Rather directly or indirectly involved in the actual disaster JARS members have donated time and use of their personal equipment to the community by providing badly needed communications between the affected areas and Emergency Operations Center. The diversity of their members allows them to operate from the home, car or the area of need.
